How we evaluate loans

Where our data comes from

  • The lender’s own website: pricing pages, FAQs, terms and conditions and representative examples
  • Information our partners provide, checked against what they publish
  • The National Credit Regulator’s register of credit providers
  • Reviews from Finmart users

Where sources disagree, we show the figure the lender publishes to consumers and flag the offer for review.

How often we update offers

We review the conditions of every listed offer regularly and whenever a lender tells us about a change. Each page shows when its information was last updated. If you notice a figure that no longer matches the lender’s website, please let us know and we will check it.

Ratings and partnerships

Some lenders pay us a commission when you apply through Finmart. Commercial relationships may affect where an offer is placed on a page, but never the rating our editorial team gives it. Learn more on how we make money.
